We all tend to take ourselves too seriously. He helps us to lighten up. I know, as a freelance writer, if you write enough material, eventually you’ll offend someone, cross a line you shouldn’t. Happens. That’s the nature of writing.
But look at his tremendous body of work. He’s entertained Durangoans for decades. So seldom offended anyone.
I don’t even know what crime Mike committed, what his offending article was and really don’t care. Fuggedaboudit!
Bring back Smedley and the Action Line. He helps everyone stay sane in these challenging times.
