After incumbent Scott Tipton’s primary loss, we now have two vastly different candidates for the 3rd Congressional District. Republican Lauren Boebert, a political novice, would represent us as a freshman in the minority party. Her thin resume would relegate her to a back-bench position. Democratic candidate Diane Mitsch Bush served three terms in Colorado’s House and was a Routt County commissioner. Her experience will help her come up to speed much more quickly. And she knows the needs of Western Colorado.
