It has been my honor and privilege to serve as your district attorney in the 6th Judicial District for the past four years. From expanding our diversion and restorative justice programming to ensuring community safety by aggressively prosecuting the most dangerous offenders, I am extremely proud of the work we have done to make our community stronger and safer.
However, there is more work to be done to build a better criminal justice system for our community. We must continue to build our capacity to work in a victim-centered manner, guiding victims through the process with compassion and understanding.
We must continue to treat the most serious and dangerous cases with laser focus, dedication and excellence to ensure community safety. We must continue to expand our diversion and restorative justice programs.
We must continue to find new and creative solutions to bring down the number of people in our jails and prisons. And we must continue to address the root causes of inequality and bias in the criminal justice system.
I am seeking re-election as district attorney because I love this community and I am committed to protecting its people and keeping it safe.
I am humbled and thankful that I’ve had chance to serve my community for the past four years, and am excited and optimistic about the opportunity to build on our gains and to continue working as district attorney to make our community a stronger and safer place for us all.
