If you had planned on bringing in the New Year at Sky Ute Casino and Resort this year, for 2020, it was boring!
There was no countdown to New Year’s in the casino as in previous years. No champagne handed out. No party hats or favors handed out in the casino.
If you had ordered a drink in the bar, “49 Lounge,” it closed at midnight. The bartender kicks everyone out of the bar just after midnight on a New Year’s night.
As a Southern Ute tribal member, I was ashamed when asked why is the casino cheap! For goodness sake, this is New Year’s.
I believe it is time for a changing of the guards of supervisors in all aspects of casino departments. We must do better as an entrainment venue.
