I am completely baffled by the responses as to why we should not put armed guards in our schools.
Moms Demand Action has given us no solution in the real time of the event. What they are doing is bringing a political topic into the mix to sway our officials. This group has misinformed people by stating that a shooting is over in less then a minute, giving people the impression the officers would not make a difference.
Here are some facts: A call has to be made to 911, the call then has to be put out to the officers, the officers then have to arrive, the officers then have to figure out where to go and what to secure. On average, this response will take between five to 10 minutes. It took Sandy Hook officers 10 minutes to enter the building. Do you want your kids in a building waiting 10, 20 or 30 minutes for officers to arrive?
If you are in favor of on-site protection of our children, please speak up before we allow one group to completely sway our elected officials!
