To encourage neighbors – in La Plata County, all are neighbors – to report to the local public health authorities violations of the order to socially distance, close businesses that are deemed nonessential and etcetera, is to create a little county of George Soroses.
Not a great place to be.
Social distance becomes “who can be trusted,” which becomes how do you know, which rapidly becomes diversity/division.
Such division of the populace follows the great divide already plaguing us here in this great nation.
Individuals are certainly capable of deciding what is healthy behavior, although the national bureaucracies are not helping as, for instance, advice on masking seems to contradict common sense. Which is to say, we mostly are able to make up our own minds.
