As a 24-year-old full-time student, I understand the stress of balancing school with the Durango shuffle of working two jobs just to get by. The lack of affordable housing in Durango can be crippling for young adults, and this past year, a medical emergency threw me even further into debt. Marsha Porter-Norton stepped up and helped me pay for the surgery from her own pocket. This is just a small example of the ways Marsha invests in individuals in her community and one of the reasons I’m voting for her for county commissioner.
