La Plata County’s diversity of landscapes, cultures and economies makes for a wonderful place to live but also brings challenges. Commission candidate Marsha Porter-Norton is well aware of the issues we rural constituents encounter. These include long distances to health care, special circumstances that affect our aging neighbors and aggressive challenges to our rural lifestyles by outside interests. Marsha has committed herself to meet with members of our rural communities, listen to our concerns and seek our advice regarding solutions. She will be a full-time, dedicated worker for rural interests.
