Letters: Rachel Landis is good for us and LPEA

With so many unknowns in our daily lives recently, it is nice to find those small (and large) things that we can predict and feel good about. Voting for Rachel Landis in the next LPEA election is one of those.

Right now and looking to the future, we should all be asking what the earth is saying to us. What I hear is that it needs some help so that our kids and their kids can have access to clean water, air and a climate that is not drastically changing year to year partially due to dirty energy. The quickest route to this is to create change locally.

LPEA is our much needed energy source and while grateful, I’d like to see a continued path of renewable energy that not only helps decrease climate change but also keeps energy dollars local. This would be a tough time for our bills to increase and Rachel is aware of this. She is a candidate who is dedicated to making sure that the cost of alternatives to coal as the only source of energy does not create high costs on your bills. She knows all too well that monthly bills right now are a real issue.

Vote for what is predictable and who can create real, positive change locally: Rachel Landis.
