Letters: Raise the taxes for children, our future

Children have had their education disrupted this year, and thousands in Colorado have limited or no access to child care and preschool. Currently, the Colorado Preschool Program can only serve 40% of eligible children. In Colorado, we have the incredible opportunity to vote Yes on Proposition EE, a ballot measure to secure revenue for a universal preschool program by taxing liquid nicotine products and tobacco. If passed, the measure would ultimately secure $2 billion for universal preschool over a decade, providing 10 hours of free, voluntary preschool to 4-year-olds across the state. We can all use our voice and our vote to secure preschool for Colorado kids this year. Nothing is more important.
