Letters: RBG’s death is a good time to reflect

The death of Ruth Bader Ginsburg is a moment for reflection. Women of my generation and subsequent generations have the rights we do in part due to her.

Her friendship with Antonin Scalia was inspiring. They couldn’t have been more apart ideologically, yet they were able to talk about facts and respect that the perspectives of each made the other more thoughtful.

In these days when people broadcast their opinions without evidence, they are a model. And for proving that someone is not stupid or evil if they don’t share your beliefs, she was a beacon of civility, intelligence and ethics.
