It is great the Animas High School is getting a grant to relocate its school to Fort Lewis College. The problem, though, is this location is used by hikers, bikers (the birthplace of future bikers), runners, wildlife and Frisbee golfers.
It is sacred, there are Ancestral Puebloan ruins there.
A better location at Fort Lewis College would be in the natural spaces between the soccer field and Aspen Hall. This has safer access for traffic, is more open and not used and revered by the public.
Please reconsider the location of the school for the future of Open Spaces.
