For 100 years, the League of Women Voters has been promoting the informed participation in government. While it does not support candidates or parties, we do take positions on issues. We urge a Yes on Amendment B to repeal the Gallagher Amendment. It relies on an outdated tax formula that hurts rural communities and small businesses. We stand with firefighters, teachers, law enforcement, counties, towns, schools, libraries and special districts to bring an end to the downward spiral of funding in our community.
