The current administration made itself clear: Competence has been fired. Despite the endorsement of every medical professional association regarding the efficacy of wearing masks, Trump and his party mock those who take the steps necessary to keep others safe. The war on competence is on display at all levels of government, where entire departments have been hollowed out, expertise replaced by personal loyalty. And Americans have paid with their lives. America has become a Third World country under Republican control. It must end.
