While walking along the Animas River bike trail in Durango recently I noticed the city was spraying weed and feed on the park grounds close to the river’s edge.
Initially, I inquired if the workers were applying organic matter and they confirmed no.
They kindly stopped spraying as I walked by and I did confirm that yes, they were spraying Scotts Weed and Feed (as was indicated on the side of the truck tank).
I felt so disappointed that in this day and age in a progressive, environmentally conscious city like Durango, we still are choosing to harm people (including our children and pets) and allowing our Earth to be polluted.
This is a travesty!
