Letters: Thank you, Road Runner Transit drivers

Road Runner Transit has stepped up to help the Bayfield riders of RRT. But the funding Bayfield gave only left RRT with a big problem for both Durango Transit and RRT.

The RRT drivers are already starting to see problems with the new riding schedule, but they still manage to be pleasant and get us safely to our destination – a little late, perhaps, but trying to take on an extra load in a new time slot and trying their best to mesh with Durango Transit’s schedule.

The biggest problem so far that this rider has seen is that two children became homeless because their parents’ transportation was compromised on both sides – Durango Transit and RRT. Certain agencies are helping them now.

There’s an old saying, “It takes a village to raise a child.” So, please, set aside your differences and show your love.

If you have any moral conscience for your children, set the example for them to bring compassion and growth to villages that need it.
