We have enough lessons from history, not yet destroyed or painted over, to be able to learn from them.
“We the People of the United States,” begins our Constitution, symbolized by the stars and stripes of our flag. At its ratification, all free citizens of every race and creed came under its protections. Non-citizens and Black slaves were categorized as property. One hundred and fifty years ago, after the deaths of 370,000 Union soldiers, the 13th Amendment outlawed this human travesty.
A black clenched fist of “Power to the People” symbolizes the mob violence of international Marxism. And – as universally practiced – the people in their slogan are members of the party. All else live in servitude to the state; many brutally so. This enslavement is ongoing in China, North Korea, Cuba and Venezuela. Legally, all the people are owned by the state or party, just as individual slave owners owned their property.
So Marxism is institutionalized slavery: not by race, but by conscience.
America’s flawed history is quite distinct from the murderous, evil history of Marxism. Our nation is repentant of its sins against humanity, while the black fist of communism has repeatedly proven itself to be intrinsically evil and soul-crushing.
I’ll put my flawed political lineage of Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, etc., up against the evils of Marx, Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Castro, Che and the Marxist BLM, to “secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity,” every time.
