I was in a locally owned restaurant downtown. All the employees were wearing masks. However, they were seating groups not wearing masks.
We all know that many of our visitors are from two of the states being hardest hit by COVID-19. I was under the impression that there is a mask requirement in public places in Durango. We’ve been told this and there are large signs coming into town saying that.
Why is this not being enforced?
Tourists will go home, but they will leave the virus for us to deal with. Why are locally owned businesses allowed to ignore the mask requirement? What happened to the ability to shop local? I will no longer use local businesses that allow some people to not wear masks.
