There were many American flags on display. One would naturally assume that the group loved this country, and I’d wager that many of them say they would do anything for the USA. But they don’t seem to be willing to do one small thing: wear a mask in a crowd, an act that if universally practiced would reduce the spread of a virus that has already killed over 160,000 Americans, and would allow the economy of the U.S. to recover that much earlier.
I accept that people may have disdain for the governor, the Colorado mask order and the Durango city order. Fine, but wear a mask because it is what any decent human being would do in this situation. You may chant “All Lives Matter,” but more eloquent is your selfish act of not wearing a mask, which shouts out that to you, “No Lives Matter.”
