As you decide on Proposition 115: Prohibit Abortions After 22 Weeks, consider that ultrasounds show unborn babies at 5 months of pregnancy sucking their thumbs, yawning, stretching and making faces. Dr. Tom Perille, president of Democrats for Life of Colorado and a retired physician, has noted that premature babies are surviving outside the womb at 22 weeks. This is an individual who can feel pain, and who has his or her own DNA, separate from the mother’s. If you vote No on Proposition 115 and this prohibition is not enacted, you will share in the deliberate stopping of a beating heart in hundreds of babies each year.
