The Pine River Library is a jewel in our community. By now readers have heard the many reasons to vote for the mill levy increase, but I would like to add one more. It is to retain the wonderful staff who provide the services, ideas and programs which make it so great.
Current and former children's librarians, Kate Brunner and Liz Von Tauffkirchen, are two such examples. They are so welcoming to children and over the years have supported Bayfield Early Education Programs with literacy introduction for the preschoolers.
From monthly reading sessions to meeting with parents, the gals have shared their passion for reading and communicated the fun and wonder that stories bring to our world. Such experiences made our preschool even stronger.
Their talents and those of other employees deserve our YES vote for the Pine River Library.
