Library appreciates donors

The Pine River Library wants to thank all of our donors last year. Your help contributed to alleviating our revenue shortfalls.

Although a shortage of $135,000 remains for 2019, the library has begun to institute a variety of spending cuts.

Special thanks to the Ballantine Family Fund, who awarded us an unsolicited $10,000 grant to help us create "a vibrant and healthy community" and "reach new potential."

Other notable donors of $1,000-plus include the Town of Bayfield, Vallecito Service Club, Jeannie Gillette, Friends of the Pine River Library and First National Bank of Durango, now TBK Bank.

These gifts will support a number of items in our operations budget including such programs as "Groove and Grow," one of our toddler literacy programs. Thank you also to the 89 businesses, families, individuals, and granting foundations supporting the Pine River Library and Pine River Arts, a library initiative, in 2018!
