As a small business owner in Bayfield, I utilize the Pine River Library as a resource for operating my day-to-day business.
The library does so many wonderful things inside of those walls, but it is what they do outside of those walls that is so important for many of our small businesses. In the past couple of years, the Pine River Library and the Billy Goat Saloon have forged a wonderful partnership in community outreach to support the arts.
Hosting "Black Out Poetry" and "Book Folding Art" has brought in a new and diverse clientele that is directly attributed to the wonderful staff and support of the Library.
I know several other local restaurants and businesses that have benefited from well-attended book signings and author lectures.
I utilize the Pine River Library for notary services, computers, printers, copiers, fax machines, or just a quiet place to work on bookkeeping. All of these are invaluable services for a small business owner, but perhaps the most noteworthy is their collective desire to give back, promote, and support the small businesses of this community.
The Pine River Library cares deeply about the success of our youth and our community. I urge you to vote" Yes" for the Pine River Library.
