Library is a hub of community

Our award winning, steadily growing public library is a community hub for gardners, readers, school age children needing a safe place to go after school, people trying to improve their knowledge on a particular subject or field, and supporters of visual and musical arts.

It provides an easily accessible, perfect space for meetings and presentations of all sorts. I've enjoyed - and told many people about - hearing popular authors Anne Hillerman (Navajo detective mysteries) and Kevin Fedarko (The Emerald Mile) speak there.

I always hear back how great it is and how fortunate we are that our library brings such interesting and insightful people to our town! Simply put, our area is facing decreasing tax revenue from oil and gas resources, so the rest of us need to step up - just a little bit, really - to help make up the difference and support this great resource.

From what I understand, this mill levy will only increase monthly property taxes less than $4 (on a $300,0000 home).

I'm more than willing to buy our library a happy hour craft beverage each month to honor the good they do for so many friends, neighbors, and community youth!

I urge you to consider the value of the Pine River Library to not just your friends and family, but to our community as well, and vote Yes for the Pine River Library!
