Library thanks supporters of Zucchini Extravaganza

We here at Pine River Library want to thank the community for helping to make our third annual Zucchini Extravaganza a success again this year! Like every year, we couldn't have done it without the help of our partner for the event, the Pine River Garden Club.

Our Friends of the Library group was also an integral part of the event, providing refreshments and free books.

Thanks to Agave, the band who provided the tunes that were perfect for a sunny Sunday afternoon, and Pine River Shares, who ran a food drive at the event. Chef Neal Drysdale from the Strater Hotel fixed up delicious food for all, and generously donated his fee to the non-profit Cooking Matters, who was also on hand at the event sharing their important message about healthy eating. The Town of Bayfield generously delivered us tables and chairs. And of course, thanks to all of you who came to the event, in particular those who brought dishes for the community potluck and entered their very special zucchini in the contests.

We've got another fun event coming up too - we look forward to seeing you all at our Bayfield Library Park grand opening on Nov. 11.
