Let's talk! The Pine River Library is hosting a facilitated discussion on healthcare, and we would love to have your input.
Most people need healthcare at some time in their lives. And we all want healthcare in our country to be high quality and affordable. For decades we have spent more on healthcare per capita than any other country in the world, yet our health outcomes are not in the top 20 when it comes to infant mortality or longevity.
What might happen if nationwide we had everyone's best ideas to work with? Our discussion of this topic will be guided by The Living Room Conversation model, which brings together a small group of people to get to know one another in a more meaningful way.
Guided by a simple and sociable format, participants practice being open and curious about all perspectives, with a focus on learning from one another, rather than trying to debate the topic at hand. The discussion is from 5:45 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14.
