Library to host impact investing seminar

Join the city of Durango and Local First to learn about unleashing the power of capital for good at an impact investing seminar noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Durango Public Library, 1900 East Third Ave.

A panel of local experts will speak on how to build retirement plans based on ethics, move money locally and maximize local resources to grow a business. Learn more about what impact investing means and what simple first steps businesses, employees and individuals can do to take advantage of local opportunities.

With close to two-thirds of customers willing to go out of their way or pay more to support a company that shares their values or ideology, being able to demonstrate ethical business practices has never been more important.

Light snacks will be provided. Bring a lunch. For more information, email Kiki Hooton at kiki@local-first.org or visit www.local-first.org/best-for-colorado.
