Lieb has the county government experience

I am writing to my fellow residents in the hopes that they can remove politics from their choice when voting for the La Plata County treasurer. I had the privilege of serving as your county clerk for 20 years. I worked under Leta Sauer for 12 years before heading the department. I strongly believe I needed those years under Leta to prepare to head the office.

During my years as county clerk, I worked almost daily with the county treasurer and his staff. I know all too well how that office operates, and I am concerned in the upcoming election that someone with treasurer-office experience is not a candidate. I am, however, relieved that one candidate has four years of experience with La Plata County government, which is why I am strongly endorsing Bobby Lieb for the office of La Plata County treasurer. He has had budgetary oversight of this office in his role as county commissioner and knows all the tasks and processes the job requires. He has demonstrated the ability to successfully work with all departments in the county – a skill I deemed highly valuable during my years as a elected county official.

To keep the county treasurer’s office running properly and efficiently, I strongly endorse Bobby Lieb.
