The Life-Long Learning Lecture Series at Fort Lewis College will present “Sleep: What You Need to Know” at 7 p.m. Thursday in Room 130 of Noble Hall.
Human beings spend one-third of their lives sleeping. Why is this so? What happens during sleep? What happens with a lack of sleep? How much does a person require?
Dennis Aronson, retired senior instructional designer and Peace Corps alumnus, will explore these questions and more based on current research, noting that humans are the only species who deliberately deprive themselves of sleep.
Cosponsored by the Office of the President and the Professional Associates of Fort Lewis College, the Life-Long Learning Lecture series aims to enrich the intellectual life of the college and the community by offering free presentations about a wide variety of subjects. The lecture is open to all.
