Living wage coalition welcomes interfaith partners

In 2014, Paul Maliszewski of Thrive! Living Wage Coalition advocated for livable wages at the main entrance to Walmart on Black Friday.

Thrive! Living Wage Coalition has welcomed three interfaith partners to advance the mission of enhancing the quality of life in La Plata County through fair and just wages for all.

Thrive! has engaged Christ the King Lutheran Church, Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Durango and the Durango Friends Meeting to form the Thrive! Interfaith Partner Program.

As their initial project, the partners are planning an Interfaith Labor Day Forum in September.

Thrive! invites other faith communities to join the effort to make La Plata County a place where all workers earn a living wage, enabling individuals, families and the community to thrive.
