Durango Nature Studies will hold a summer solstice full moon hike from 8-10 p.m. Monday at Animas City Mountain. The hike will be led by DNS staff, and it will focus on natural history, nocturnal animals, local landforms and moon facts and legends. The outing is free for members and $10 for non-members.

The second annual Mancos Valley Summer Brewfest will take place Aug. 13 at Cottonwood Park in Mancos.
Gates will open at 10 a.m. and the festival is set to run until 7 p.m. Live music, great food and beverages including locally crafted beers will be available all day. The Summer Brewfest celebrates community. It is organized by the Mancos Brewing Co. and Mancos Valley Resources. All proceeds from the event will be donated to Mancos Valley Resources, Mancos Food Share and the Pay It Forward Fund, all groups that serve the residents of the Mancos Valley.
Admission is $15 in advance, and $20 at the gate. Student tickets for age 13 to 18 are $5, and admission is free for children 12 and younger. A list of ticket outlets can be found at www.mancosbrewingcompany.com. Well-behaved dogs are welcome.
