Kiwanis Club to meet Thursday
The Kiwanis Club of Durango will have 9-R school superintendent Dan Snowberger as its guest speaker at noon Thursday at the Durango Community Recreation Center, 2700 Main Ave. He will speak about current issues concerning Durango schools. Guests are welcome. Durango issues holiday schedule

The following is the city of Durango’s schedule for the Memorial Day holiday on Monday:

City administrative offices will be closed, including City Hall, River City Hall, Police Station and Substation, Transit Center, Durango-La Plata County Airport, Greenmount Cemetery, and the Parks and Recreation administrative offices.The Durango Community Recreation Center will be open 5:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The aquatics area closes at 1:30 p.m. The Mason Center and Chapman Hill will be closed.The Durango Public Library and all branches will be closed.Commercial and residential trash and recycling pickup will occur as scheduled. The Recycling Center will be closed.Transit buses and the trolley will run the Saturday schedule on all routes. The parking window in the Transit Center will be closed.Parking is free downtown Saturday through Monday.Herald Staff
