The Pine River Library will offer a Photography 101, a basic digital photography class focused on DSLR or mirrorless cameras, from 6 to 8 p.m. May 12. The registration fee is $5. The La Plata County Humane Society is now providing dog behavior workshops for the public on Tuesday evenings.
These interactive dog-human workshops will provide expertise on improving communication, including: good leash manners, dog-to-dog greetings, and tips, tricks and other fun behaviors to do with your best friend.
Taught by Marcy Eckhardt, pranaDOGS certified professional dog trainer, these 90-minute sessions cover one topic each week and include practice time and emailed reminders. The May 10 topic will be “Walking Politely on a Leash.”
