Durango announces holiday schedule
The city of Durango announces this holiday schedule for Friday:
All city administrative offices will be closed, including: Durango City Hall, River City Hall, Durango Police Station and Substation, Durango Transit Center, Durango-La Plata County Airport, Greenmount Cemetery and the Parks & Recreation administrative offices.
Durango Community Recreation Center will be open from 5:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Chapman Hill and the Mason Center will be closed.
Durango Public Library and all of the branches will be closed.
All commercial and residential trash/recycle routes will run as scheduled. The recycle center will be closed.
Durango Transit will run limited service. The city-wide route will run from 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. There will be no deviations to the Crestview area or U.S. Highway 160 West. There will be no service to Mercy Regional Medical Center. The Main Avenue Trolley will run from 7 a.m. to 10:40 p.m. One Opportunity Bus will run. The parking window will be closed.
Durango Transit will offer two free shuttles starting at 5:30 p.m. The last shuttle will leave the transit center at 10:30 p.m. The shuttles will pick up and drop off at north City Market, the La Plata County Fairgrounds and the transit center.
The buzz bus will run from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.
All parking downtown will be free.

Free assistance is available to seniors who have questions about Medicare, Medicare supplements, Medicare Part D, how items are paid and how much it will cost.
