Electra Sporting Club to begin burning slash
Electra Sporting Club will begin burning slash piles on club-owned parcels north of Durango this winter when appropriate snow cover has fallen.
Operations will take place in the Electra Lake area, where piles of slash remain from earlier fuel-thinning conducted as part of the club’s Forest Stewardship Plan. Burning will take place early in the day, so resulting smoke is expected to disperse by nightfall. While piles are burning, smoke may be visible from populated areas. No closures are expected and no trails are affected.
