The Ignacio Community Library will be hosting a rocket science event at 3 p.m. Monday at the library, 470 Goddard Ave.
Participants can build their own paper rocket and help build an air rocket launcher. They will launch their rockets, weather permitting.

The Pine River Garden Club annual plant sale and exchange will be 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Pine River Public Library, 395 Bayfield Center Drive, in Bayfield.
Baked goods and crafts will also be available. Bring your extra plants to share or exchange or make a donation and take home new plants to add to your garden.

A community fundraiser will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Ska Brewing, 225 Girard St.
There will be music by Carute Roma and Afrobeatniks and performances by members of the Salt Fire Circus.
A silent auction will also take place. There will be a $10 cover charge.
Money raised will go toward the mounting medical bills of Tracy Arens and Quinn Deffenbaugh.

“Dogs who React to Dogs” will be the topic of the hands-on workshop from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the La Plata County Humane Society.
There’s limited room. The cost is $25 per dog, or $20 for LPCHS members. Keep an eye out for more workshops coming in June.
