Trainer offers Rotarians fitness tips

A graduate of Fort Lewis College, Winterscheid has been a competitive snowboarder with accomplishments including Junior World ISF Snowboard medals and being a member of U.S. National Snowboard Team.

Local artists to hold fundraiser

The Style ‘N’ Stones, a group of 10 jewelry artists, will host a fundraiser for the Health Coalition of Southwest Colorado from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday at 703 East Fifth Ave.

The event will feature handcrafted jewelry items, with each artist donating at least 30 percent of sales to the nonprofit organization.

The Health Coalition provides assistance to area cancer patients.

Hopi potter to give insight into the art

The Center for Southwest Studies will host a talk by Hopi potter Gwen Setalla at 5:30 p.m. Friday in the center’s Lyceum at Fort Lewis College.

Setalla’s presentation will include demonstration materials and pottery. An artist reception for Setalla is set for 5 p.m. Friday in the center’s lobby before her presentation. Call 247-7456 for more information.
