Party in a worldly way at Bayfield library
Bayfield’s international community will host a party to debut the Mango Languages database from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Pine River Library, 395 Bayfield Center Drive in Bayfield.
Local bilingual community members have been invited to host booths celebrating their native languages and heritage.
Attendees will be able to learn phrases in different languages and enjoy a variety of regional foods.
The Mango Languages database includes 60 foreign language courses and 17 English courses.
The event will also include prize drawings and a short demonstration about how to use the database.

Animation lab to hold anniversary party
Rocky Mountain Animation Labs in Durango will celebrate its one-year anniversary with an open studio from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Smiley Building, 1309 Third Ave.
This event will include student animations, live animation demonstrations and question-and-answer time with David Tart, the school’s founder and award-winning feature-film animator.
This free event is open to all ages, and refreshments will be served.

Learn to fix your bike at clinic Wednesday
Mountain Bike Specialists will host a free maintenance clinic from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at 949 Main Ave.
Darian Harvey, service manager and former champion downhill racer, will be the instructor. Topics to be covered will be care and cleaning of your bike, lubing the chain, how to fix a flat and how to tell when your bike needs professional assistance for a smoother and more comfortable ride.

Elks Lodge to offer Veterans Breakfast
The Durango Elks Lodge will hold a Veterans Breakfast from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Elks Lodge, 901 East Second Ave.
Participants should use the Ninth Street entrance. The cost is $5 for veterans and $6 for non-veterans.
