Day of remembrance honors transgendered

Four Corners Support for Transgender people, Allies and Relatives will host its annual event for the Transgender Day Of Remembrance at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Durango, 419 San Juan Drive.

This event honors the more than 270 members of the transgender community worldwide lost to murder and suicide over the past year. There will be music, a potluck supper and the opportunity to commit to reducing the violence toward and raising understanding of the transgender community.

The general public is welcome and encouraged to attend. This event is sponsored by 4STAR, PRISM at Fort Lewis College, The Four Corners Alliance for Diversity and the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Durango.

Vendor spaces open for Christmas bazaar

The Animas Museum’s annual Old Fashioned Christmas Bazaar will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Dec. 4 and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 5.

Vendor space is still available for artists and crafters selling handmade creations.

The museum is located at 3065 West Second Ave. For more information, call 247-5348.
