Mancos Public Library will hold an Introduction to Microsoft Word workshop from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Sept. 8. Attendees can bring their own laptops if Microsoft Word is installed. Extra laptops will be available.

The city of Durango has announced closures and schedule updates for Labor Day on Monday:

City Administrative Offices will be closed, including City Hall, River City Hall, Police Station and Substation, Transit Center, Airport, Greenmount Cemetery, and the Parks & Recreation administrative offices.Durango Community Recreation Center will be open from 5:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Mason Center and Chapman Hill will be closed.Durango Public Library and all its branches will be closed.Recycling and trash services will run normally. The Recycle Center will be closed.Two citywide buses will run from 7 a.m. to 7:45 p.m. Crestview will run hourly from 7 a.m. to 7:20 p.m. There will be no evening bus. There will be hourly service to Mercy Regional Medical Center. Trolleys will run normally. One opportunity bus will run. The Transit Center lobby and cashier window will be closed.Parking is free downtown Saturday through Monday.Herald Staff
