The Durango Community Recreation Center is closed through Sunday for annual repairs and maintenance.
The administrative office and front desk will remain open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday. It will be closed Saturday and Sunday.

The town of Bayfield and the Pine River Library will host a final summer block party from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Thursday on Mill Street in downtown Bayfield. The event will feature food, beverages, music and family entertainment.
There will be a beer garden with beer provided by Bottom Shelf Brewery. Proceeds will go to the Be Frank Foundation. Also, food sold by local restaurants and community vendors will be available.
Children’s activities will include street bowling and a bouncy house.
Hello, Dollface will provide a unique neo-soul sound for the event.
New vendors are welcome, especially food vendors. Local businesses, clubs and nonprofits are asked to showcase their products and services. Vendor applications can be picked up at the Bayfield Town Hall or accessed online at www.bayfield.gov.

Ignacio Community Library will host a Linux Multimedia Studio (LMMS) class at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at 470 Goddard Ave. in Ignacio.
LMMS is a free, cross-platform alternative to commercial programs like FL Studio, which allows you to produce music with your computer. This includes the creation of melodies and beats, the synthesis and mixing of sounds and arranging of samples.
