Bike race, memorial ride to talk place

The first Paul Wilbert Memorial Passeggiata will be held at 4:45 p.m. June 23 at Buckley Park.

A passeggiata is an Italian evening ritual, which includes a community stroll through town. This will be a special bicycle passeggiata to honor the memory of Paul Wilbert. Wilbert was heavily involved in creating the multi-modal transportation and recreational trail network that makes Durango a connected and sustainable community today.

The fifth annual Pedal vs. Metal Challenge will be held at 5:30 p.m. June 23, at the Powerhouse Science Center. This event is a race against the clock that involves completing errands around town by bicycle or car. Whoever completes all errands in the shortest amount of time wins.
