Rocky Horror Show to be performed

The Henry Strater Theatre, 699 Main Ave., will present Richard O’Brien’s Rocky Horror Show – Live On Stage at these times:

An all-ages show will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday.

A 21-and-older show will take place at 10 p.m. Friday, 7:30 p.m. Saturday and again at 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

Audience members are encouraged to dress as a Rocky Horror character, with a ‘60s Mod twist. Tickets are $18 for students, $20 for adults prior to the show and $25 for adults at the door. Prop Throw bags will be available inside the theater. Guests are asked to not throw anything at the stage, nor to bring their own Rocky Horror props to throw.

Life-Long series continues Thursday

The Life-Long Learning Lecture Series at Fort Lewis College will present “The Buzz about Bees” at 7 p.m. Thursday in Room 130 Noble Hall.

This talk will explore the natural history of the honeybee, its influence on people’s own history and current challenges to beekeepers. The presenter will be Bill Collins with the FLC Department of Chemistry.

Kiwanis Club gets Purgatory update

The Kiwanis Club of Durango will welcome James Coleman, the new owner of Purgatory Resort, to speak about the upcoming season at noon Thursday at the Durango Community Recreation Center, 2700 Main Ave.

Guests are welcome.
