Prostate support group to meet

The Man to Man Prostate Cancer Support Group will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Durango Public Library, second floor, 1900 East Third Ave.

Anyone with prostate issues is welcome.

DHS music concert scheduled Tuesday

The Durango High School Instrumental Music End-of-the-Year Concert will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the DHS auditorium.

This free concert features the Durango High School’s Concert Band, Orchestra and Jazz Band.

Lachelt to update Rotarians on Tuesday

La Plata County Commissioner Gwen Lachelt will provide an update on county government issues to the Rotary Club of Durango on Tuesday.

The club’s dinner meeting starts at 6 p.m. in the Strater Hotel, 699 Main Ave. Visitors are welcome and may contact Bruce Rodman at 385-7899 for more information.

Learn about low-impact building

Kaki Hunter and Doni Kiffmeyer, authors of Earthbag Building: The Tools, Tricks and Techniques, will give a presentation on how it is done, where it has been done and the advantages of this unique building style from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday at Pine River Library.

Kiffmeyer and Hunter have been involved in alternative construction since 1993, specializing in affordable, low-impact and natural building methods.
