Durango library to host LEGO Club

Durango Public Library, 1900 East Third Ave., will offer a new LEGO Club for kids and families from 10 a.m. to noon beginning Saturday.

Future meetings will be held on the second Saturday of each month. Registration is not required, though builders who are five or younger will need a grown-up helper. The library offers a range of programs for all ages, and in 2016 many of the programs for children will focus on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) themes. The LEGO Club is a way to promote engineering skills and creative problem solving. The club is made possible through the support of Durango builders, architects, and contractors. Other local businesses interested in supporting the LEGO Club are encouraged to contact the library.
