Half Marathon open for registration

Registration is now open for the third annual Mancos Half Marathon and 5K, a fundraiser for Mancos Public Library on June 25.

For starters, a 5K run will be added so more people of all ages and running abilities can participate. The half-marathon course will be improved by making it a loop and adding mixed terrain of paved and dirt roads, as well as trails. Activities such as a fun run, yoga demonstrations, dancing, kids’ races and more also will be held. Early bird registration rates are available until March 31. A variety of event sponsorship opportunities are also available which include free registration and other great benefits.

San Juan Water meets Wednesday

The San Juan Water Commission will hold a regular meeting at 9 a.m. Wednesday in the San Juan Water Commission’s Conference Room in the San Juan Water Commission Office Building, 7450 East Main St., Farmington.

Folk dancing takes to Cortez’s Main St.

Folk Dancing will be held from 7 to 9 p.m., each Thursday at 20 West Main St. in Cortez. For more information, call, 565-0674.

Sacred Heart’s Fish Fry is Friday

The Knights of Columbus Council No. 1408 will host a Lenten Fish Fry from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Friday in the Sacred Heart Parish Hall, 254 East Fifth Ave. Baked and fried fish, breaded and battered, French fries, coleslaw, dessert, and drinks will be served. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children 6-12, and children 5 and younger are free.

Enjoy a party before the caucuses

Pre-Caucus Pump Up Party will take place from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Rochester Hotel, 726 East Second Ave. There will be appetizers and a cash bar.
