Kristina Sargent, a 2006 Durango High School graduate, received her doctorate in economics from the University of Colorado at Boulder on May 12. She will start as a tenure-track associate professor of economics position at Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vermont, next fall.
Sargent was born in Durango and attended Park Elementary School, Needham Elementary School, Miller Middle School and Durango High School.
