Local hunters, anglers invited to discuss wildlife issues

Colorado Parks and Wildlife will hold a Sportsmen’s Roundtable video teleconference from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday to receive input about wildlife issues from area hunters and anglers.

The meeting will feature Sportsmen’s Roundtable representatives, CPW wildlife managers and biologists, and CPW’s Southwest Regional Manager Patt Dorsey. Updates about issues facing the agency will be provided, and the meeting will focus on: chronic wasting disease; how drought and fire affects fisheries and terrestrial wildlife; and the “Future Generations” legislation that was passed in January.

The video teleconference will be offered at wildlife offices in CPW’s Southwest region, including the Durango office at 415 Turner Drive in Bodo Industrial Park.
