Local Reading Club awaits author’s visit

Many of the residents of Durango enjoy the benefits of living in a college town. In recent years, one of the programs that has sparked tremendous interest and lively discussions around town is the Common Reading Experience. As members of an organization who promote literacy whenever possible, the two dozen members of the Reading Club of Durango would like to applaud Fort Lewis College for the fascinating authors that it brings to Durango and the effort made to include community participation. We eagerly await the visit of Sister Helen Prejean. Her book, Dead Man Walking: The Eyewitness Account of the Death Penalty that Sparked a National Debate, is sure to promote lively conversation. What a score for FLC and the entire Four Corners community!
