Another busy week of local sports is here. Winter sports are at or nearing the end of their seasons, with spring sports also beginning. Indoor track, basketball, ice hockey, golf and softball are all in action this week. Here are all the local sports events this upcoming week:
Fort Lewis College basketball:
FLC women’s basketball vs. CSU Pueblo on Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
Records: The Fort Lewis women will be looking to break a four-game losing streak and pick up a win in the third game of their four-game home stand. They sit at 6-18 and 3-13 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, while the visiting Thunderwolves come in at 15-9 and 10-6 in the RMAC.

FLC men’s basketball vs. CSU Pueblo on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
Records: After back-to-back losses, the FLC men earned a 76-61 win on Saturday against Western Colorado University. They sit at 16-9 overall and 10-6 in the RMAC. The Thunderwolves are currently on a six-game losing streak that has them at 10-14 overall and 5-11 in RMAC play.

Fort Lewis College indoor track:
After two school records were broken in Albuquerque at the Don Kirby Elite Invitational last weekend, the Skyhawks men’s and women’s teams are heading to Flagstaff and the NAU Dome for the Northern Arizona University Tune Up. The meet will take place on Friday.
Fort Lewis College softball:
After the fourth game of their series against MSU Denver on Monday was canceled due to winter weather conditions, the FLC women are headed to Golden for a four-game series against Colorado School of Mines. The Skyhawks hope to break a five-game losing streak that has them at 1-7 overall and 0-3 in the RMAC, while Mines brings a 2-12 record and a 2-2 RMAC record into the series. The first two games are on Saturday at noon and 2 p.m., while the third and fourth games are on Sunday at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Fort Lewis College golf:
The FLC men’s and women’s golf teams are beginning their spring seasons in California. The men are headed to Cal State San Bernardino in Borrego Springs for the Battle in the Desert, while the women are traveling to Cal State East Bay in Alameda for the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout. Both meets are two-day tournaments, beginning on Monday and finishing on Tuesday.
